No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that’s our real disaster.” ― Dalai Lama

My heart aches for the world today. The natural order appears to be ever declining, spiraling downward and out of control. Propagated hatred surrounds us all, and within it we drown.
Yet there is no darkness without light, no hatred without love. The scales of the universe will always come into balance, and we must hold hope.
Perhaps this increase in violence is in direct correlation to the vast number of humans waking up to the ideologies of the ages – the notion that we are all one species, indivisible. Each arc of the pendulum is mirrored in its return.
At the very least, with this thought in mind, there isn’t a need for complete despair. The world adjusts, and so must we all. Growing pains are aptly named. Within discord, the road to peace presents itself.
To all of you in New Zealand and the world beyond: I hold hope for you, for us. I hold space for you to grieve. I hold love for you to heal.
